Kevin Körting

President

I was fortunate enough to do my first triathlon at the age of seven back home in Germany. I grew up in a small town with two amazing local events, the Insel Triathlon and a popular 26 km run called the Adventslauf. After years of volunteering at these local events, I decided to give triathlon a try as a young adult and began training for the local races, but after two consecutive knee surgeries, I had to step away from triathlon and running altogether.

After a long absence, I returned to swimming in 2020, which eventually led me back to triathlon in 2024. I fell in love with the sport all over again, the events, and the atmosphere. The past two years back in the sport have given me so much, and I would like to give back in return.

Patrick Lapointe

Vice-President

I started training for triathlons at age 69. While many of my peers were giving up on their bodies. I thought instead I would challenge mine. I am a long-term road biker and cross-country skier. I am now 75 and have done 4 outdoor sprint triathlons and an indoor one.  I very much enjoy the triathlon community and look forward to working with the STCI board to keep it strong.

Maaya Hitomi

Secretary

I fell into triathlon by accident after years as a competitive swimmer, competing at the provincial and national level. I then took up cycling, first as a means of transport to and from school, and then was convinced to join the crosscountry team at highschool. Before I knew it. WHAM! I was a triathlete! I also have a long history in non-profit administration and currently work as an ADHD Coach and Academic Strategist, using my psychology training to support and motivate clients toward their academic and professional goals.

Terra Andrews

Treasurer

Even though all said that crossfitters sink (and I do!), I decided to try a new sport and joined JTI in 2022. I fell in love with triathlon (not so much the swimming) and the wonderful community! I did JTI again in 2023 and joined the board as a Member at Large. I thoroughly enjoyed the year. So much so that I wanted to be more involved and stepped up to be treasurer. I am looking forward to another fun fabulous triathlon season!

Aurora Lepe Zepeda

Marketing Coordinator

I grew up running and swimming but didn’t find my passion for triathlon until 2023 when I decided to challenge myself to train to complete the Frank Dunn Triathlon. I quickly fell in love with the community and the many ways this sport has improved my life. I am looking forward to more races,  training events, and opportunities to build the triathlon community in Saskatoon!

Keira Minielly

Kids of Steel Race Director

I’m a Saskatoon girl working as a Registered Nurse both in the city and in BC. I grew up swimming competitively and spending summers biking at the lake. To elevate my triathlon training, I joined the U of S Triathlon Club many years ago and competed in JTI in 2023. I’ve also volunteered at numerous triathlon events and have served as an STCI member-at-large for the past two years. I’m excited to meet new people and am looking forward to an amazing 2025 triathlon season.

Mike Jones

Living Sky Race Director

I did my first Kids of Steel triathlon in 1990 after watching Mark Allen and Dave Scott go head-to-head on Kona. I completed my Bucket List Ironman for my 40th birthday back in 2018 in Wisconsin. By being in the Saskatoon Triathlon Club I hope to pay it forward for all the support the tri community has provided me.

Hey! My name is Christina and I’m excited to join the Saskatoon Triathlon Club. While I’ve never tackled a triathlon solo, I’m gearing up for my first one this summer as the team’s cyclist. Ironically, I used to hate biking as a teenager, but now I can’t get enough of it. When I’m not cycling, you’ll find me enjoying any outdoor activity that comes my way.

Looking forward to an awesome season with this amazing community!

I did my first triathlon in 2009 and have been racing ever since. A lot has changed since then — I became a mom, life got busier, and let’s be honest, I got a bit slower — but my love for the sport has stayed the same. I’m originally from Brazil and spent many years training and racing on my own or with my brother. In 2022, I joined Just Tri-It and finally found the amazing community I didn’t know I was missing. In 2024, I became part of STCI as a member at large, and I’m looking forward to contributing to this great community.

I found my love for triathlon through the Just Tri-It program! Since starting with triathlon I have found myself participating in a variety of training programs and events. My favourite thing about the sport is how many welcoming and encouraging people I have had the opportunity to meet and train within the community.

Cynthia Hernandez-Roblin

Volunteer Coordinator

I discovered my passion for multisport through the Saskatoon Triathlon Club’s Just Tri It program, where I completed my first season last year. The supportive environment and the sense of accomplishment I gained through the program inspired me to get more involved. I bring experience from the non-profit sector, finance, governance, and community-focused work, all of which have strengthened my ability to collaborate, stay organized, and contribute meaningfully to community initiatives. I’m passionate about creating inclusive spaces where people feel welcomed and supported. As a year round outdoor enthusiast, I believe sport is a powerful way to foster connection and resilience.
