Free Adult Triathlon Clinic - Jan.14th & 15th

STAC looking for athletes to participate in a FREE Triathlon Clinic as part of a Part 2 Competition Introduction NCCP Triathlon Coaching Course. Athletes will have the chance to work with a team of experienced coaches and coaches-in-training. The clinic will feature a low coach-athlete ratio so you'll receive lots of attention and individual feedback! 

Clinic will be lead by Triathlon Canada Coach Education Facilitator Tracey Shelley and STAC Director of Coach Education, Carly Priebe

Times

  • Saturday January 14th: 1 pm - 2 pm Run Workout #1 @ Saskatoon Field House Track
  • Saturday, January 14th: 4:45 - 6:30 pm Swim Workout @ Saskatoon YMCA
  • Sunday January 15th: Noon-1:30 pm Bike/Run Workout #2 @ Saskatoon Field House Track

Coaching Opportunity - Coaches Needed for Intermediate Triathlon Training Groups

TFLThe Bike Doctor requires trained coaches for the Tri For Life Program. This is an eight week program designed for novice triathletes who want to participate in the sport of triathlon.  The program will run from April 23 To June 15, 2012. There will be two group of sixteen participants and two coaches for each workout. There will be one workout per week in each discipline (swim, bike & run) for each group.

1st Annual Tri-Fit Clinic - Saturday Jan.7, 2012

Check out the Tri-Fit Clinic on Saturday January 7th, 2012 at the SHAW Centre.

Get off on the right foot with your preparations for the 2012 season with individual assessments in swim, bike, run, strength and flexibility from local experts all in one place, for one low price.

 The Tri-Fit Clinic includes the following individual assessments, instruction and corrective drills:

  1. Swim stroke assessment by NCCP Certified Level 3 triathlon coach Carly Priebe of Transition Sport & Fitness.
  2. Rudimentary bike fit assessment by the F.I.S.T. certified bike fit experts from The Bike Doctor.
  3. Running Gait analysis by physiotherapist and running expert Brad Spokes of ZONE Sports Physiotherapy.
  4. Strength and Flexibility assessment by exercise physiologist Jolene Koenders of ZONE Sports Physiotherapy.
  5. Running shoe assessment by shoe fit expert Ian Colvine of Brainsport.

Subaru Banff Triathlon

One of the most beautiful triathlons in the world; with the swim taking place in pristine Two Jack Lake followed by the cycle around the breathtakingly beautiful Minnewanka Loop. The run will trek around the town of Banff and finish down famous Banff Avenue with the Cascade Mountain as the back drop and in to Central Park, nestled on the edges of the Bow River.
