Submitting Material to This Website

Remember that the people who run this website are very busy and although we'll be happy to post your material you must do all of the prep work. Send it to us at info@triathlonsaskatoon.org.

We work hard to post material the same day it's submitted if you follow the guidelines below.

Chad is the Greatest Triathlete

Chad Matsalla put out another spectacular performance Sunday at the 3rd Annual Chad Invitational Triathlon. Despite the incident in the water at the start of the race he recovered and put out a good effort on the bike.

Sometimes a story is long and sometimes a story is short. When it is longer than a paragraph or so, include with your submission the point at which you would like a 'Read More' link to appear. We post 'Teaser' text and then link to the full story. Think of it as a little box on the front page of a newspaper:

If the teaser text is boring or doesn't convey the intention of the full story, people won't flip to page B12.

Your post must have descriptive text. If you are announcing a race, include information on sponsors, dates, deadlines. If you are announcing a clinic, include information on who might be interested.

Attachments

We will allow you to add attachments. They must follow these rules. If they do not follow the rules, they will not be posted.

An attachment must be an image or PDF.
A PDF must include a thumbnail image if you want it to appear like in the document found here. If you don't include a thumbnail your PDF will be linked to with a common link. Not pretty. You can create a thumbnail with a screen capture utility (Windows has the "Print Screen" button) and a simple image editor.
Excel spreadsheets are best put in Google Documents and linked to. Google will tell you how to do that.
Word documents are NOT acceptable for the web. You can print the document to PDF using a tool like PDF Creator. We will not convert Word documents to PDF for you and we will not post Word documents. If your Word document is just text and not a complex brochure-like document why not just copy the text and email it to us? Please don't expect that we can open Word documents.
