Are you planning to race or attend organized STCI training sessions? If so you will also need a STAC Membership
STAC is the provincial governing body for the sport of triathlon in Saskatchewan. Membership with STAC is required to participate races and any organized STCI training program (such as our coached swim programs or indoor cycling). STAC sanctions races and our STCI training sessions and clinics and through the sanctioning process assures the safety of the participants and limited insurance in the unlikely case that something unfortunate happens. Where STAC membership is required you will not be allowed to participate without the membership and you will be required to prove that you are a member.
STAC has a page that details the benefits of membership.
Another benefit of the STAC membership is personal medical (and dental) insurance while you are training. In the unfortunate event that you are injured while training, and you have out of pocket expenses (not covered by provincial health coverage or your personal dental insurance), you can make an insurance claim through STAC for reimbursement. Full details on coverage can be found on the STAC website.
